The New England state banking associations are pleased to announce the return of Outlook 27: The New England Economic Forum on Friday, January 15, 2027, at Gillette Stadium. Building on the success of the inaugural Forum, Outlook 27 will once again bring together banking executives, business leaders, economists, and industry partners from across the region for a timely look at the forces shaping the economy and financial services in the year ahead.
We are especially honored to welcome Susan M. Collins, President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, who will deliver the keynote address and share her perspective on the economy, monetary policy, banking, and the issues shaping the region's business community.
New for Outlook 27, Neil Thompson of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) will lead a featured thought leadership session examining artificial intelligence as an increasingly important economic and business force. Drawing on his research at the intersection of AI, economics, and technological innovation, Thompson will explore AI’s impact on productivity, labor markets, investment, financial services, and economic growth—and the opportunities and risks these changes present for business and banking leaders.
Back by popular demand is Dr. Anirban Basu, Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, whose economic insights are as entertaining as they are enlightening. Following his economic outlook, Dr. Basu will moderate the Forum's signature panel discussion featuring leading economists from some of the nation's largest financial institutions.
