
New Chair, Officers and Directors Elected at Annual Meeting
The New Hampshire Bankers Association (NH Bankers) elected Officers and Directors for the coming fiscal year during its Annual Meeting held on June 16, 2023. The meeting was well attended, with over 115 members of the New Hampshire Banking industry featuring Ryan Barton, CEO, Mainstay Technologies as the keynote speaker and a legislative update from NH Senate President Jeb Bradley.

NH Banker members voted to elect Linda Lorden, President, Merrimack County Savings Bank as Chair of the Board for the coming year. Ms. Lorden, who previously served as Vice-Chair, is succeeding Ron Magoon, President & CEO, Franklin Savings Bank. NH Bankers welcomes Lloyd Hamm, President of Newburyport Bank who will be completing an unexpired term of Director Reginald Greene of Claremont Savings Bank, and Steven Byrnes, SVP-Regional Vice President-Eastern New Hampshire, TD Bank to his first 2-year term.

Ryan Barton spoke about the rapidly advancing state of Artificial Intelligence. He discussed bold predictions from cognitive scientists, business leaders, AI researchers and developers. He explained what it is and isn’t, what it means for the future, and how business leaders today can prepare.
Attendees also heard from several speakers about financial literacy developments in New Hampshire. Speakers were Drew Cline, Chairman, NH State Board of Education; Dan Hebert, State President, NH Jump$tart Coalition; Jessica Pelletier, Executive Director, FitMoney and Christiana Thornton, President & CEO, NHHEAF.
